She has many clinical interests within her general family practice, such as, digestive disorders, stress, burnout, adrenal fatigue, endocrine system disorders (thyroid dysfunction, diabetes), and women’s health.
Dr Wrenshall is a strong proponent of preventative healthcare and follows the Naturopathic principles of doctor as teacher, where the focus is on treating the whole person to find the root of disease. Following this paradigm, she implements individual treatment plans for each person. She strives to restore health through supporting the body’s innate healing mechanisms that are present within every individual. Through education and guidance, Dr. Wrenshall empowers people to achieve their true health potential.
In clinic, Dr. Wrenshall gathers information from each patient’s history, physical exam, and laboratory test (when required) to help determine treatment needs. Laboratory testing may include, blood testing, food allergy testing, urinalysis, genetic testing, digestive and endocrine profiles (thyroid, hormones and adrenal panels), and stool samples.
Dr Wrenshall combines a variety of therapies within her treatment plans that are specific to each patient. These therapies can include, Intravenous Nutritional Therapy, Mesotherapy, Physical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Hydrotherapy, Lifestyle Counseling, and Prescriptive Authority.
Dr. Wrenshall is board-certified to perform the following advanced therapies: Acupuncture, Advanced Injection Therapies / IVs, and Prescriptive Authority, and is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia. She is currently a member of good standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the British Columbia Naturopathic Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Wrenshall draws her inspiration and energy from all things outdoorsy and enjoys life’s precious moments spent with her children Maple and Diego, husband Roderick and one rambunctious but loveable Old English Sheepdog, Mr. Footz.
