**Dr. Zawi is only available on Monday Mornings, Wednesday and Friday Evenings and some Saturdays**

Dr. Rema Zawi grew up in Toronto and from a very young age knew she wanted to be in health care. After fast-tracking secondary school with honours, she pursued her undergraduate science studies at University of Toronto. Dr. Zawi later obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2007 where she served as class facilitator for the third year chiropractic clinical course. After graduation, she was given the privilege of being on the interview committee for applicants entering the Doctor of Chiropractic program.

Along with obtaining chiropractic Canadian AND American boards, Dr. Zawi received certification in Medical Acupuncture from Ontario's McMaster Medical School in 2008.

Dr. Zawi's passion for healthcare did not end at her graduation. She worked in multiple different clinical settings including motor accident rehabilitation where she was the clinic director and head doctor. Dr. Zawi also held a government position as a board member of the Ontario government agency‘s ‘Trillium Gift of Life’ Network that is responsible for organ donation and transplant in Ontario. After moving to Edmonton in 2012, Dr. Zawi continued to practice chiropractic and acupuncture and also volunteers and give talks about chiropractic and health care at local schools.

As a Chiropractor, Dr. Zawi is specialized in assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems such as low back pain, whiplash, bad posture, post pregnancy pains, sports injuries, neck, shoulder, knee, foot and numerous other muscle and joint pain and dysfunctions. Dr. Zawi is passionate about giving her patients the best chiropractic care available with up to date evidence based treatment and techniques. She loves to educate her patients and strongly believes that education is power and that prevention is the best medicine.

Dr. Rema Zawi's favourite things to do are travelling, swimming and reading.
