Please note: Dr. Daoud's functional medicine services are not covered by OHIP. Dr. Daoud does not accept to take on patients as their family doctor.
Initial visits should also all be booked in person, whereas follow up appointments can be made in person or virtually.
Dr. Ronnie Daoud studied at the University of Toronto Medical School and completed family medicine residency and a palliative care fellowship at the University of Ottawa. His palliative care work has taught him to listen deeply, see the person behind the disease and to prioritize patient’s values in their treatment plans.
Dr. Daoud started the functional medicine training program with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) in 2023. He has completed all seven training modules and is waiting to write the IFM certification exam. He is being supported and mentored by Dr. Adrienne Junek.
Dr. Daoud believes that the most effective care often comes from integrating treatments from multiple medical systems. His focus is on identifying root causes of illness rather than treating isolated symptoms. Treatment plans are evidence-based combining dietary interventions, stress management, sleep optimization, exercise, supplements and conventional medications. This approach is designed to support the body’s innate capacity for healing and promote long-term health and resilience.

Cette approche vise à soutenir la capacité innée du corps à se guérir et à favoriser la santé et la résilience à long terme.
