Dr. Sarah Hines is a registered psychologist in Alberta (CAP#7405) and holds both a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.
Dr. Hines assists those with mild to severe mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, addiction or substance use problems, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Hines is trained in Health Psychology, which is a specific branch of psychology that uses psychological principles to aid in the promotion and maintenance of health as well as the prevention and treatment of illness. Dr. Hines brings a wealth of experience to her practice. Her approach fosters a collaborative therapeutic environment, rooted in warmth and empathy, which serves as a catalyst for self-exploration, insight, healing, and personal growth.
Central to Dr. Hines' therapeutic philosophy is the belief that behavior change driven by reconnecting with core emotions, releasing inappropriate guilt and shame, managing anxiety, and developing healthy coping strategies. She adopts an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Short-term dynamic psychotherapy (such as Affect Phobia Therapy), as well as other evidence-based methodologies like motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and gut-focused hypnotherapy.
In her practice, Dr. Hines is dedicated to providing client-centered care that is tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual she works with.

Your Initial Wellness Consultation is the starting point for your care at Calgary's Integrative Health Centre for Perimenopause and Menopause Care. Before your appointment you will complete our Wellness Blueprint Assessment so your consultation time is spent on clinical discussion rather than paperwork. During your 45 minutes our clinical team reviews your assessment, identifies the patterns most active in your specific situation, discusses your options across conservative care and prescriptive pathways, and builds your personalized clinical roadmap. You leave informed not just assessed. $120 CAD. Calgary in person and remote delivery available.
Dr. Hines provides a 15-minute treatment consultation at no cost for you to assess whether her services may be beneficial for you. Individual psychotherapy appointments are booked with Dr. Hines following the treatment consultation.
