Stella’s interest in health of the body, mind and spirit led her to complete studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine University, China (2003). She is a registered TCM Practitioner, registered with College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. Subsequent studies with Qin Ma and Nora Franglen introduced her to Five-Element Acupuncture which she began practicing in 2019, and she found an enthusiasm for this form of medicine. In seeking to deepen her knowledge and understanding of it, she joined the Worsley Institute and pursued additional training through the WIT program in 2022. She has completed Teacher Training Basics and Teacher Training Advance programs. Through these program, she truly developed a passion for the beauty and power of Worsley Five-Element Acupuncture. She currently practices in two clinics in Vancouver BC and White Rock BC.
In addition to being a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Stella is also a Registered Nurse specializing in Perinatal care and has been working in this capacity at BC Women's Hospital since 2010.

Bengkung is a Malaysian postpartum treatment method. A soft cotton bandage is used to manually tie around the woman’s buttocks to the upper abdomen, according to an individual body shape. It is more effective and supportive compared to other waistbands. In our abdomen, there are 8 abdominal muscles called the “Rectus Abdominis Muscles”. During pregnancy, the gap between the rectus abdominis muscles will be stretched to allow more space in the mother’s belly, which leads to diastasis rectus abdominis. Studies have shown that approximately 70% of pregnant women will experience varying degrees of rectus abdominis separation. The deeper the separation of the rectus abdominis, the weaker the abdominal muscles and the weaker the lower back support, this explains why so many pregnant women are prone to low back pain. After delivery, the separated rectus abdominis muscle does not return to its original position immediately, and it may take several months or even longer. On the other hand, one of the hormones called “Relaxin” is released, causing the rectus abdominis muscle to separate, and the pelvis to expand. With the use of belly binding tied around the mother's waist, abdomen and pelvis for about 6-8 hours, it helps to tighten the loose joints yet the mother can maintain her daily activities. Advantage of belly binding: -Reduce rectus abdominis diastasis -Tighten the abdomen and pelvis -Prevent uterus prolapse -Restore the uterus and other internal organs to their original positions -Improve low back pain problem -Abdominal massage repels belly wind and reduces stretch marks *** To ensure commitment and consistency in your treatment, we kindly require a $100 deposit upfront for 10 sessions.
