Dr. Miller graduated from Grant MacEwan University Acupuncture Program with Distinction in 2011. She began her acupuncture career doing a lot of work with fertility and stress related issues at a clinic in Sherwood Park, Alberta. She then moved to the Okanagan and for 8 years worked with injury and pain management for conditions like arthritis, back pain, sciatica, and pre and post-surgical pain. She continued her work with women’s health but shifted into pregnancy treatments like labor induction and turning breeched babies as well as menstrual issues. In 2020, Dr. Miller moved back to her home province of Saskatchewan and throughout the past few years has developed a practice of continuing to treat women’s health, pain management and circled back to treating many stress related issues that arose and worsened with the pandemic. Her acupuncture sessions are designed to help the patient rest to regulate the nervous system and gain a remembered sense of well being. Pain relief is often experienced with just one session. Dr. Miller considers it extremely important to educate her patients on how Traditional Chinese Acupuncture works and why it can be so beneficial to one’s overall health to include the treatments in your healthcare options.
Dr. Miller is also a very experienced yoga practitioner and instructor. She is the only Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher in Southern Saskatchewan. After being a dedicated student for 10 years, she completed her national teaching assessment in Ottawa in 2015. She continues to study with her own teacher in Goa, India as well as with her peers at the Calgary Iyengar Yoga centre. She is a recent empty nester and got to retire as a hockey mom but still a very busy dog mom to one adorable Lab/husky cross. She has been an avid tennis fan for many years and recently started playing. She feels very fortunate to have created a balanced life centered around yoga and Chinese medicine.
