Born and raised east of Edmonton, Alberta, Vanessa attended Mount Royal University in Calgary first studying Athletic Therapy and continued her studies in Kinesiology graduating from the University of Calgary in 2005.

In 2008 Vanessa began studying the Yuen Method™ being taught by Jessica Taylor. Shortly afterwards, Vanessa was introduced to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and graduated from the Acupuncture program at MacEwan University in Edmonton in 2012.
Vanessa has been awarded several academic awards including the Doris Sweetnam Scholarship presented at the 2012 Canadian Oriental Medical Symposium.
Vanessa has always been able to intuitively listen to her own energy and the energy of others and it is Vanessa's ability to calmly act on this intuition that facilitates positive change. Energy work is essentially that - intuition and intention. So when you are struggling, in panic or crisis, Vanessa can identify the roots of your struggles and calmly shift them allowing greater ease in you. Vanessa's ultimate goal is to enable you to become less entrenched in struggles so you may live your best life.
Vanessa wants to see people thriving rather than merely surviving! In her view, nothing is more rewarding than seeing people lighter, happier, freer, living a life they love! This is Vanessa's passion and purpose in life!

No needles!! Energy work will consist of a sit down discussion as the root of the issue is found and corrected. Please plan to have some quiet time in your day following all Energy Work appointments.

Sometimes we need to get the boulders out of the way so the creek can return to normal flow. This treatment combination will address the boulders in the way with Energy Work and balance the body, mind, and spirit with Acupuncture to allow for a quicker path to relief and resolving chronic conditions.
Ear Acupuncture Resilience Program Treatment are regular, ear acupuncture treatments done in group settings aimed to reduce the effects of stress and trauma on the body, nervous system, and brain. Weekly sessions are best for 12 weeks to maintain high levels of emotional and nervous system regulation, or as needed when feeling thee effects of stress.

During this Initial Acupuncture Assessment & Treatment, we will take the time to evaluate your overall TCM picture and create a treatment plan accordingly. This appointment usually takes 75 mins.
