Elaine Phillips

Elaine was born in Wales, UK, emigrating to Canada in her late twenties. She has lived in this country ever since, spending most of her time residing in Winnipeg. She had spent time living in other cities across Canada, such as Thunder Bay, Toronto, and Prince Edward Island. She chose to return to Winnipeg to settle her family, and to work towards her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Elaine works with individuals, families and couples, using an integrated approach to therapy. She has extensive experience working with trauma and understanding the effects of trauma on people’s lives (including patterns in intergenerational trauma). Her clients have ranged from young children to seniors over 80 years old. All ages are welcome!

Elaine has a passion in working with clients who have suffered grief, loss, divorce, navigating life cycle stages, changes and concerns associated with ageing. As a mother to six wonderful children, Elaine has gained a great deal of personal experience with children and young adults. She is passionate about supporting families who may have some concerns with parenting or family conflict.

By joining The Practice, Elaine strives to support her clients to become their true authentic selves with our emphasis on providing both the body and the mind with a healthy balance. She will have the opportunity to offer clients a space to embrace this “wholistic” environment. Clients will be supported in a calm space of care and compassion as they begin their healing journey.
