Meet Emilie, a compassionate and attentive physical therapist known for a warm, bubbly approach that helps patients feel comfortable, supported, and motivated throughout their care. She is passionate about creating an inclusive and encouraging environment where individuals of all ages can build confidence in their movement and achieve their goals.
Emilie has experience in pediatric care, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and the management of chronic pain in both children and adults. She has a particular interest in working with hypermobile populations and aerialists, bringing a nuanced understanding of the unique strength, stability, and control required for these individuals. Additionally, Emilie has a particular interest in the treatment of foot and ankle injuries, as she firmly believes that a solid foundation paves the way for lifelong participation and movement resiliency.
At Summerside, Emilie takes a highly individualized, patient-centered approach, combining evidence-based techniques with dry needling, education and movement-focused therapy. She believes that successful rehabilitation goes beyond symptom relief, focusing on long-term resilience, body awareness, and empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery. In addition, her experience working in pediatrics has shown her that the best rehabilitation plan is one that fits into your daily life (and, dare we say it...is maybe a little bit fun?!)
Outside the clinic, you can find Emilie flying through the air in lyra hoop or aerial silks, playing outside with her dog, or curled up in the sunshine with a good book.
