Emily (M. Ed, RCC) is a compassionate educator and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who brings eight years of experience working within school communities. Her professional background includes roles in both inclusive education and school-based counselling. She holds a Master of Education in School Counselling and is currently working in inclusive education while continuing to support children and families through counselling.

Emily’s approach is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centred, and solution-focused practices. She believes in each individual’s capacity for growth and works to help clients recognize and build on their strengths. Emily is known for her warmth, empathy, and genuine presence, creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and safe. She is especially passionate about advocating for children and fostering the development of confidence, self-esteem, and social-emotional skills.
She has extensive experience helping families navigate school-related challenges, including emotional regulation, chronic absenteeism, various forms of anxiety (such as separation, social, and school-related anxiety), learning strategies, Ministry designations, and the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs). Emily values collaboration and works closely with educators and school teams to provide consistent, supportive care for students.
Emily has a strong understanding of concerns such as anxiety, depression, attention differences, and neurodivergence. She has supported children and youth who have experienced trauma, including abuse, neglect, and grief. Emily is committed to practicing with cultural awareness and respect, and she strives to create an inclusive environment for individuals from all backgrounds. She is also a dedicated and affirming ally to the 2S/LGBTQIA+ community. Emily acknowledges that she lives, works, and learns on the traditional, unceded, and occupied territories of the Syilx/Okanagan people.
