Hi, I’m Emma!
I completed both my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. I decided I wanted to be a physiotherapist after working closely with folks with disabilities through Special Olympics, motionball, and the Steadward Centre during my university years. All of these experiences lead me to develop a passion for inclusion and creating access to movement for all. No matter what your goals are, I want to help you participate in the things you love!
I believe in creating evidence based, individualized programs that fit your unique lifestyle to make physio as accessible as possible. My priority is making sure you have a strong voice in your rehab plan, because you know your body best! I take an active approach to treatment, paired with manual therapy techniques and strong patient education to create long lasting outcomes. I work with clients of all ages and conditions, including children and teens! Throughout your time in physio I will help you reach your goals, while also giving you the tools to avoid reinjury in the future. I can’t wait to get started with you!

Clinical Pilates takes a unique approach to assessing movement patterns and providing treatment to patients of all levels of function. It utilizes Classical Pilates equipment, the reformer and tower unit, to provide a graded core exercise program that will mobilize while strengthening. Whether you have an injury or are looking to improve your overall performance/function, this is for you.

Interested in trying Clinical Pilates, but unsure what it is all about? Then this is a perfect workshop for you! Michelle will provide some information on what it is all about, the equipment used in the clinic, as well as take you through a Pilates Mat class. You will also get to try the equipment for yourself. (Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat if they have one).
