Fiona graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Toronto, and has completed Level 3 of the Diploma of Advanced Orthopedic and Manual Manipulative Physiotherapy offered through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). Fiona has also completed a MVA course centered around assessing and treating MVA injuries.
With over two decades of experience in manual therapy and sports injuries, Fiona has been several sports teams physical therapist, including the Fort McMurray Junior A Hockey team, the Nor’Westers Men’s Rugby Club, and the Riverbenders Classic Women’s Soccer team.
Fiona is a founding member of SURGE (Shoulder and Upper Extremity Research Group of Edmonton). As research coordinator and physical therapist consultant, she works with a group of 7 fellowship trained upper extremity surgeons together with several other physical therapists, and an epidemiologist in the area of shoulder research. SURGE has published several articles in prominent journals.
