Franziska obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Munich (Germany). In January 2016 she moved to Vancouver and became a registered Physiotherapist in Canada.
Coming from an athletic background, Franziska has always been fascinated with the human body and the physical and psychological benefits of movement. She
enjoys the interaction with clients and likes to see them improving their well- being and participation in everyday life.
Post-graduation Franziska has furthered her education through orthopaedic courses and became a sports therapist in 2009. After her grandmother developed a severe neurological condition, she decided to take further training to also help individuals with a neurological condition. Franziska believes that both, the sports therapeutic and neurological background, provide a perfect combination to maximize the functional recovery and physical fitness of individuals and help them return to being active members of their community.
As a result, she has a keen interest in treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions as well as individuals with concussion and vestibular symptoms. The specialized training in this area allows her to apply a comprehensive approach to help identify personalized concussion profiles, and provide customized rehabilitative programs.
Franziska is a very outdoorsy person and enjoys running, playing beach volleyball hiking, snowboarding/downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing. When she is not in her adventure mode she reads and listens to podcasts.

You can expect a full history and physiotherapy assessment/treatment, as well as on-bike position assessment, all necessary adjustments to maximize comfort, safety, and performance, as well as appropriate drills and an exercise program to get you stronger on the bike.
Our initial concussion assessment is a thorough, one-on-one session designed to evaluate symptoms and identify areas affected by your injury, including balance, neck function, vision, and dizziness. Using evidence-based tools, your physiotherapist will assess how your brain, body, and nervous system are responding post-concussion. Whether you are returning to work, school, or sport, we will create a personalized treatment plan to help you recover safely and confidently.
Treadmill-based gait assessment session, including: video analysis, Runeasi AI-powered data collection and analysis, strength and mobility testing, and followup education and coaching. The Runeasi system utilizes a sensor to capture data on running quality, including measurements of impact loading, symmetry, and dynamic stability. Runeasi data is used in combination with other modes of gait analysis to guide effective interventions for improved running performance, economy, and safety. Through these sessions we can determine your individual running style, analyze findings related to your past or current injuries, and develop a plan to help you get the most out of your running.
A comprehensive assessment for runners of all levels to reduce injury risk and improve performance. The session includes a thorough movement screen to assess mobility, strength, and functional capacity and a detailed treadmill analysis to identify biomechanical imbalances and inefficiencies in technique. Based on the findings of the assessment, an individualized exercise program, footwear recommendations, and training guidance will be provided.
Our initial vestibular assessment is a detailed, one-on-one evaluation focused on identifying the cause of dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, or motion sensitivity. Your physiotherapist will assess the inner ear, eye movements, balance systems, and neck to determine how your body is processing movement and spatial awareness. Based on the findings, we will create a customized treatment plan to reduce symptoms, improve stability, and help you feel more confident in your daily activities

**MUST BOOK INITIAL GAIT ANALYSIS & ASSESSMENT PRIOR TO THIS SESSION.** Runeasi guided gait training sessions to address relevant findings from initial assessment. Runeasi allows for real-time monitoring of your objective running quality, so we can directly assess the impact of running cues or interventions on your running performance.
