Freeman graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). After graduation, she worked as a Chinese medicine practitioner at the UCN Chinese Medicine Clinic Training and Research Centre under the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, where she was primarily responsible for providing clinical consultation services. Her role also included delivering traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) outreach services in hospital wards, as well as promoting TCM through public talks and website articles.
She is also the founder of the TCM educational social media platform @fmher_bal, which continues to grow steadily. In addition to her clinic work, Freeman gained valuable experience and a strong reputation through her freelance practice, particularly in managing complex and lesser-known conditions.
In 2024, Freeman successfully passed the Pan-Canadian Examinations and is now a registered Chinese medicine practitioner in both Hong Kong and British Columbia, Canada.
Freeman has experience treating pain disorders, psychiatric conditions, and neurological and neurosis-related symptoms using traditional Chinese medicine. She is passionate about providing holistic care, including dietary and lifestyle guidance, as well as supportive counselling tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

This is for patients who have already had aTCM Acupuncture Initial visit. It includes multiple therapies, such as acupuncture, cupping, scraping (Gua Sha), and/or Herbal Medicine. Your practitioner will perform an assessment to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for this comprehensive visit.
The initial visit includes assessment, exam, and treatment. It involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate and balance the flow of vital energy. This non-invasive technique is performed with precision and care. It is often used in conjunction with of TCM therapies, like cupping, Gua Sha, and/or Traditional Herbal Medicine. Minimal Invasive (0-3 needles combined with other methods) and Intensive Pain Care treatments are available.
This is a follow-up visit for patients who have already had a TCM Acupuncture Initial visit.
This treatment is for patient's who have already had a TCM Acupuncture Initial treatment. During a cupping session, cups are placed on specific areas of the body, creating a vacuum that draws the skin and superficial muscle layer into the cup. This suction promotes increased blood circulation, reduces inflammation, and stimulates the body's natural healing processes. Cupping leaves circular marks due to the suction, known as cupping marks, which normally go away in a few days.
This treatment is for patient's who have already had a TCM Acupuncture Initial treatment. During a GuaSha therapy session, a smooth-edged tool is applied to the skin with gentle scraping movements. GuaSha is often performed with a natural skin-friendly oil as a base. This technique promotes microcirculation, reduces inflammation, and encourages the flow of QI, fostering overall well-being. GuaSha can produce petechiae or redness from scraping, which normally goes away in a few days.
This visit is for patients who have had a TCM Acupuncture initial visit. Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine is a key component of TCM. It involves the use of natural herbs and plant-based substances to prevent, diagnose, and treat various health conditions. Individuals can benefit from a time-tested, holistic approach to health that emphasizes balance, prevention, and personalized care. This visit does not include acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, Electro-acu, or Trigger Point Therapy. It includes one week dosage.
