What I love most about physiotherapy is the detective work. Two people can point to the exact same area of pain, yet the reason behind it, the way it affects their life, and what will actually help may be completely different. I enjoy asking questions, watching how someone moves, noticing the smaller details, and gradually putting the pieces together, the small shift in how someone walks, the way a shoulder hesitates before it lifts, the habit they didn't even realize they'd built around avoiding pain. That process of figuring out the "why" behind the pain, not just the "where," is what makes this work feel less like a routine and more like solving a puzzle alongside someone.
When you work with me, you can expect a treatment plan that fits your body, your goals, and your everyday life-not a generic list of exercises. Your first session is really about listening: understanding your history, how the pain shows up in your daily life, and what you actually want to get back to. From there, sessions may include hands-on treatment, movement retraining, strengthening, mobility work, and education. I want you to understand what we are doing and why at every step, so you feel involved and confident throughout your recovery rather than just following instructions.
My treatment style is practical, encouraging, and adaptable. I will challenge you when needed, adjust the plan when your body has other ideas, and make sure you never feel rushed or judged. I believe progress can look different for everyone. It may mean returning to sport, walking farther, moving with less pain, or simply feeling more confident in your body again. Whatever that looks like for you, we'll define it together and check in on it regularly, so recovery never feels like guesswork.
One of my favourite parts of being a physiotherapist is unexpectedly meeting a former patient at the supermarket and hearing that they are still doing well. Outside the clinic, I enjoy reading, journaling, and spending time in nature. I have a soft spot for hugging trees, and whenever I can escape, you will probably find me wandering around Niagara-on-the-Lake - my happy place.
