AjouterGenna is a Humber College graduate of Massage Therapy and a Registered Massage Therapist. Her whole life she'd been intrigued by sciences, general wellness and things that help the body grow and keep healthy. With evidence informed practice, research, and a passion for continuing education, she along with the other healthcare professionals at Empower can figure out the optimal health care options for our patients. This gives the clinicians and the patients the best possible outcome: progression of healing.

###About the Clinician
Genna positively loves to cook and bake. She especially loves to plant her own fruits and vegetables, make her own compost and prepare/provide her harvest as well as trying to preserve some for the winter! From the humble beginnings of tomatoes, herbs and zucchini, her garden now features over 20 varieties of plants….over the summer that is!

A specialized treatment focused on improving mobility, reducing tension, and restoring function in scar tissue following surgery or injury. Using gentle, targeted techniques, this treatment helps soften adhesions, decrease sensitivity, and support healthy tissue healing, allowing for improved movement and reduced discomfort.
Our TMJ-focused massage looks beyond just the jaw itself. Treatment includes the upper back, neck, and shoulders to release the surrounding tension patterns that contribute to jaw pain and dysfunction, paired with targeted work on the TMJ and facial muscles. By addressing both the root tension and the joint itself, this approach helps the jaw stay relaxed longer - rather than only treating the facial area. Intra-oral massage is optional as well. This integrated treatment is ideal for those experiencing jaw pain, clenching or grinding, headaches, or tension through the face and neck.
