Hailing from Toronto, Godfrey Tio is a graduate from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic and a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO). He holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
Godfrey emphasizes communication as the first step towards successful massage therapy. In doing so he delivers a personalized approach that draws upon his expertise using Swedish and myo-fascial techniques combined with clinical experience that includes athletes, youth, seniors, pre/postnatal care, post-surgical care, and treating acute injuries, nervous system conditions, headaches, and chronic pain.
Godfrey is adept at applying pressure optimized for individualized comfort to provide a safe, relaxing, and pain relieving massage treatment. He works with his clients to establish self-care strategies to maximize the benefit of each session and the overall treatment plan. Ongoing learning and continuing education is an important part of Godfrey's practice. He encourages therapy from an evidence-based standpoint and a coordinated team of health professionals to support client goals.
When not assisting clients through massage therapy, Godfrey enjoys staying active with hockey, squash and strength training, creating music, as well as rejuvenation through hearty laughter and humour with friends and family.
