Gopika is a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist with a Advanced Health Care Practitioner Master’s of Clinical Science in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Western University. With over 13 years of clinical experience, Gopika specializes in providing personalized and evidence informed care to help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their overall physical health and mobility.
Passionate about patient-centered care, Gopika uses a comprehensive approach to develop tailored treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs and goals. Her expertise includes manual therapy, neurofunctional acupuncture, therapeutic exercises, sports rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, and pain management. Gopika truly believes movement is medicine and practices an active approach to her treatment style.
Throughout her career, Gopika has worked with a diverse patient population, including athletes, seniors, and individuals with neurological and orthopedic conditions. She is committed to continuous learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in physiotherapy techniques and practices.
In addition to clinical practice, Gopika enjoys educating patients about injury prevention and promoting a healthy lifestyle. She believes in empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery process, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes. Gopika is a clinical instructor with the McMaster Contemporary Acunpuncture program and part of the executive committee of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association's Acupuncture and Dry Needling Division.
