Greg Smith is a physiotherapist with a Master of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. He has completed extensive post-graduate training in Dry Needling/IMS (IDN), TMJ rehabilitation through APTEI, Complete Concussion Management (CCM), the McKenzie Method (Lumbar Spine), the Mulligan Concept (Lower Extremities), and Functional Movement Systems (FMS Level 1).
Greg combines his extensive athletic background with a passion for helping people get the most out of their lives. Following a thorough assessment, he develops individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercise, dry needling/IMS, manual therapy, and movement retraining to help patients achieve their goals efficiently and effectively. His experience working in private practice on the Sunshine Coast has allowed him to develop a broad skill set and treat a wide range of conditions. Greg also served as the team physiotherapist for the Powell River Villa Soccer Club, supporting the team through a successful league promotion campaign.
A former professional soccer player in Germany, Greg later competed for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds, where he captained the men's soccer team to a national championship. Following his soccer career, he shifted his focus to rugby and continued competing at a high level. Having experienced numerous injuries throughout his athletic career, Greg understands the challenges that can accompany recovery and is passionate about helping others reach their full potential. A Squamish resident and avid outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys surfing, skateboarding, hiking, skiing, trail running, stand-up paddleboarding and yoga.

This in-depth, one-hour assessment is completed by an expert physiotherapist trained in concussion care. During your session, we will review your medical history, mechanism of injury, and current symptoms, followed by a thorough evaluation of balance, vision, neck function, and cognitive factors related to concussion. You’ll leave with a personalized recovery plan, education on safe activity levels, and recommendations for next steps in your care. This assessment is the first step toward effective, evidence-based management and a safe return to work, school, or sport.

Musculoskeletal assessment with Registered Physiotherapist Trish Fitzgerald. This is an initial session if you have not seen Trish before. The session is designed to look at movement patterns, existing compensatory patterns, breathing, balance and gait analysis. This is a precursor session to starting clinical pilates with Trish.

This follow-up session is designed to support your ongoing recovery after your initial comprehensive concussion assessment. Guided by your expert physiotherapist, the session will focus on reassessing symptoms, monitoring your progress, and advancing your individualized treatment plan. Depending on your needs, treatment may include vestibular and balance rehabilitation, vision or coordination exercises, neck and posture therapy, graded return-to-activity planning, and education on pacing strategies. Each session is tailored to help you move safely and confidently toward full recovery.
