This in turn, helps promote movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the disks so they can heal. Shockwave therapy is a treatment option which can be used for acute or chronic pain. Shock waves are high-energy audible sound waves which are introduced to painful areas of the body to reduce pain. Shockwaves accelerate the healing period and will reduce pain. By introducing these sound waves to the body, your blood is stimulated therefore increasing circulation and the metabolism is accelerated. After a few sessions, tissue is regenerated and you will heal at a quicker pace than someone who has not undergone shockwave treatment.
