Winnie completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2019. Her interest in health care stemmed from her wish to help others recover from life’s hurts and challenges. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2016, she delved into work and volunteer that helped promote the mental health and wellness of neurodivergent adults and socially isolated seniors. However, she recognized her lack of knowledge and competency in helping people with their physical pain in the process, and developed a keen interest in physical therapy as a result.
Winnie currently practices in both the public and private sectors. At Vancouver Coastal Health, she works mostly in acute post-operative rehabilitation with patients who underwent total joint replacements. In her private orthopaedic practice, she utilizes manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, and modalities to help clients achieve their goals. Winnie has completed her Level 1 Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, and is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation for BPPV, Vertigo, and Dizziness as well as Functional Dry Needling.
Outside of work, Winnie chases after intense post-workout sweat, delicious cuisine, and wild fictional tales in movies and dramas. She also has a recurring side gig managing the aches and pains of her partner, a passionate breakdancer who believes gravity is merely a suggestion.
Winnie is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
