**Where are you from?**
Sheffield, England.
**What were you doing before pursuing RMT?**
Before attending VCMT, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Queen’s University. I currently work as a Kinesiologist alongside attending VCMT’s massage therapy program. My focus is in injury rehabilitation, and I’m excited to integrate my kinesiology background and practical experience with massage therapy to offer patients a more holistic approach to healing and wellness.
**Why do you want to be an RMT?**
Growing up playing a variety of sports, I developed a strong interest in helping friends and teammates with training plans and injury recovery. I also learned through personal experience how impactful movement and massage can be for mental well-being. These experiences sparked my passion for both kinesiology and massage therapy. I love my work as a Kinesiologist and wanted to expand my skills to include hands-on treatment, allowing me to support clients in a more comprehensive way.
**How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?**
Outside of school and work, I enjoy travelling and making the most of BC’s nature in each season — whether it’s hiking in the mountains, swimming in lakes or the ocean, or skiing in the winter. I also love to spend time learning about some of my other interests, including psychology and nutrition.
**What is your favourite thing about VCMT?**
My favourite part of VCMT is the strong sense of community. We spend so much time together and come from such diverse backgrounds, which makes the friendships and connections we form especially meaningful and interesting.
