Heather completed her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University after graduating with distinction from the Human Kinetics undergraduate program at the University of Guelph. As a lifelong learner, she is continuously building her clinical skills and has taken several post-graduate courses including vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, evidence-based cupping, neuro-proprioceptive taping, and osteoporosis management.
Heather assists people with their recovery from general orthopedic injuries and enjoys working with pre- and post-surgical patients, athletes, and everyone in-between. She specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and treats a variety of conditions, including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Meniere’s, Acoustic Neuroma, Vestibular Neuritis, Unilateral Vestibular Loss (UVL), Bilateral Vestibular Loss (BVL), and more. Heather also addresses a wider range of balance dysfunctions, dizziness-related symptoms, and falls prevention, as well as performing baseline concussion assessments and treating concussion-related symptoms.
During her many years’ experience as a Physiotherapist, Registered Kinesiologist, Bonefit Trained Professional through Osteoporosis Canada, CSEP – Certified Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor, Heather has helped people reach their goals as they navigate various acute injuries and chronic conditions. She has a passion for education and invites her patients to take an active role in determining what their wellness journeys will look like.
In her free time, Heather enjoys being outdoors with her husband and two children, running, and teaching group fitness classes at her local YMCA.
