Heather graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical therapy from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University.
Since graduating from the University of Alberta in 2014, Heather has returned home to Nova Scotia to work in private practice physiotherapy. She has continued her education with postgraduate courses with a special focus on manual and manipulative therapy and is certified in Biomedical Dry Needling. Heather enjoys working with people of all ages and conditions, including sport related injuries, post operative patients, pregnant and postpartum women, and degenerative diseases.
Heather enjoys spending one on one time with each client to provide researched based manual therapies and individualized treatment programs. She believes in educating her patients about their injuries and healing process while providing them with effective strategies to manage their symptoms and achieve their physiotherapy goals.
Heather is originally from Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia. She grew up spending most of her time outside hiking, biking, kayaking, and playing sports, her favorite having been soccer. These days, Heather keeps busy with her husband, three young children, and two border collies. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends, and can often be seen hiking local trails and camping.
