A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, I completed my Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen's University. Prior to this, I studied at the University of Toronto, completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a minor in Music History and Culture. I completed my Sport Physiotherapy Diploma through Sport Physiotherapy Canada, and am a Registered International Sport Physical Therapist (RISPT). I have the privilege of working as a Sport Physiotherapist with Volleyball Canada Senior Women’s Indoor National Team. I have also worked as a sessional instructor with the University of Toronto's Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education, as well as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Toronto's Master of Physical Therapy Program.
I was a competitive cross-country skier for much of my life. I understand the dedication and commitment it takes to be a high performance athlete, and the importance of keeping your body operating at an optimal level. I now spend much of my time training for long distance running races, and have extensive experience helping clients who have similar endurance sport based goals. I love to work with running, jumping and throwing sports injuries, and in particular enjoy working with athletes returning to sport after a surgery (for example, ACL repairs, Achilles' repairs, shoulder labrum tears, and many more!)
My husband and I have a young daughter, a dog and a cat. When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me out for a run with my daughter, training for my next race, or in the gym.
