Ian Dunsmuir is a certified Sports Medicine Registered Acupuncturist and Kinesiologist who helps people live an active and pain free life by restoring muscle balance and joint function.
In addition to his clinic time, Ian works with the SFU Sports Medicine team, where he provides treatment to the NCAA athletes. Additionally, Ian is involved with the BC Lions providing sports medicine acupuncture treatments to the players. A highlight for his career was being named the VANOC (Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee) Manager for Acupuncture Services for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. He loves to share his passion for acupuncture and stays current with the changes as the Canadian Instructor for Sports Medicine Acupuncture seminars. Finally, Ian has been awarded Tri-City News ‘A List’ Favorite Acupuncturist for 2019, 2020 and 2023.
Ian is always up for a challenge and feels that his own experience with pain, injury, and rehab has given him a unique set of tools to be able to treat health issues just like yours.
Ian loves mountain biking, weight training and enjoys walking and hiking with friends and family.
