AjouterIneke Beeken is a registered and licensed clinical social worker whose career spans over three decades and has taken her to various countries, including the UK, USA, and for the past 21 years Canada.
Ineke has extensive experience in supporting individuals and families struggling with mental health challenges and the complexities of life. She has worked with children, youth, and adults in an individual, family and group capacity, and has developed and taught several mental health-related courses. One of her current projects is transferring her knowledge and expertise by providing clinical supervision to students and new clinicians.

Ineke’s areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD relational/family conflict, burnout/stress, and major life transitions. To be able to adapt to the individual needs and preferences of each client, she has made it her priority to get trained in a diversity of therapeutic modalities. Some of these modalities incorporate humanistic, client-centered approaches with a focus on personal growth, self awareness, and the client’s internal experience. Other approaches, such as CBT and DBT are more structured and skill-oriented approaches with a focus on changing specific thought patterns and behaviors.
Whatever approach is used, Ineke is always committed to building trusting therapeutic alliances where clients are seen, respected and empowered. She believes that each person has inherent value regardless of their background and choices.
One of Ineke’s areas of passion is working with people who have experienced childhood trauma. Throughout her work with children she has gained a deep understanding of how early life experiences profoundly impact mental health by altering brain development, stress responses, often leading to chronic conditions such as PTSD, anxiety and depression. These unresolved, lasting trauma frequently manifest as emotional dysregulation, self sabotaging behaviors and difficulties maintaining stable relationships.
Outside her professional work Ineke is passionate about spending time with her son, the great outdoors and travel.
