It’s hard enough for someone to realize they’re in need of self care, let alone work towards its implementation. You looking over this bio is already a triumph, and I’m glad that you’ve taken the first step.
I believe that everyone has the power within themselves to change and grow as a person, and that someone’s past trauma has no bearing on their potential to do so. As a member of the Stone Silo Team I am honoured to be in a position where I can help someone work towards that change and empower them to write their own story. Stories can be powerful in that they’re used to understand both the world and your place in it, and I believe that these stories can be deconstructed and explored in order to better understand your past experiences, see how they connect to how you view things in the present, and work to rewrite your story to be more inline with your authentic self.
My approach is warm, compassionate, client-centred, trauma-informed and strengths-based. My goal is to help promote self exploration and authenticity while facilitating a safe space to support you in your journey towards your goals, even if you don’t know what those are quite yet.
I incorporate various therapeutic modalities into my approach, drawing from Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). In session I’ll work to collaborate with you to create a setting that is most conducive to your growth, encouraging your feedback and your input throughout the therapeutic process.
In the past I’ve worked supporting high risk adolescents and young adults with experiences of trauma, many of whom also struggling with emotional regulation, addiction and other concurrent issues.
Outside of therapy sessions you can find me getting lost in sci/fi books, going to the gym, doing yoga, writing and trying new things.

This free 15-minute phone call offers us a quick check-in to discuss any brief concerns, updates or important information you feel would be helpful for your child's therapist to know about. PLEASE NOTE: this session is solely intended for you to share information with your child's therapist. We require more time if you would like to discuss any progress, observations, goals and/or concerns. This Art Therapy Intensive allows for deeper creative engagement within a supportive, child-centred environment. This session can be used as a one-time art therapy experience, an introduction or trial to art therapy, or as an ongoing intervention if your child would benefit from extended session time.
