Isabelle Gignac-Butt is registered with the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC). Isabelle developed an interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) when her mother went to an acupuncturist for her shoulder pain. After this she decided to learn more about acupuncture and in her research decided this was a career path she was interested in taking. Isabelle moved to Halifax and began her studies at The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (CCATCM) in September 2021. Here she studied and completed her clinical training graduating with a Diploma of Acupuncture in August 2023.
Isabelle has a passion for helping those with mental health issues while also working with pain syndromes and gynaecological diseases. She also takes interest in using TCM modalities to aid in relaxation and achieve cosmetic desires. Isabelle's patients describe her as having a calming energy, bringing peace to their treatments.
Isabelle spent many hours learning from her professor, Dr. Bella Tan while studying at CCATCM and was always impressed by Bella’s vast knowledge, roots and passion for traditional chinese medicine. Upon graduation Isabelle took the opportunity to work at TwoTan Wellness Inc. because of its well known and respected reputation while also being able to emerge herself more deeply in TCM and continue her learning through mentorship.
In her free time, Isabelle enjoys learning more about TCM and adding to her knowledge base while also finding joy in outdoor activities and painting.
