Common symptoms of low iron include poor energy, shortness of breath, cold hands & feet, dizziness, weakness and circles under the eyes. In order to be a candidate for iron infusions, you must have bloodwork done that is less than 90 days old. This must include Ferritin, Hemoglobin, Iron Saturation Index, Total Iron Binding Capacity and Iron. This can be done with a medical doctor or with VP Health (at a cost of $150. This is eligible under your Naturopathic benefits). The cost of the Iron Infusion IS NOT eligible under Naturopathic benefits. Bloodwork must be sent to VP Health PRIOR to the appointment.
