If you are experiencing pelvic floor muscle weakness, incontinence or prolapse, this is the treatment for you! During the exam, your physiotherapist will take the time to discuss your medical history, symptoms, and concerns. The assessment may include: External assessment: Evaluating posture, breathing patterns, and muscle activation in the abdominal and pelvic region. Internal assessment (optional): With your consent, this involves gently checking the tone, strength, and flexibility of the pelvic floor muscles to identify dysfunction or pain points. Functional testing: Observing how your pelvic floor muscles respond during activities like coughing, squatting, or contracting. This exam is completely personalized and conducted in a safe, private, and supportive environment. It’s designed to provide insights into your pelvic health and guide a tailored treatment plan for your unique needs in addressing incontinence and prolapse.
