This is part 1 of a two-part appointment. Part 1 provides a comprehensive evaluation of your gait and movement. Your clinician will begin with a focused patient history, gaining insight into your symptoms, daily demands and mobility concerns. We will assess gait mechanics, including normal movement parameters and any deviations that may indicate dysfunction. A lower-quarter assessment is also included, involving postural evaluation, palpation of key structures and dynamic orthopaedic testing to determine contributing factors. Common lower-quarter dysfunctions—such as issues in the hips, knees, ankles or feet—will be screened to guide diagnosis and treatment planning. This appointment is ideal for anyone experiencing balance issues, pain with walking, post-injury mobility changes or general movement concerns. Treatment options will vary. Part 2—approximately 45 minutes—is booked separately. See “Functional Gait Rehab Plan of Management and Treatment".

This is part 2 of a 2-part appointment. Part 2. At this follow-up appointment, assessed gait patterns will be discussed in depth to help you understand how they relate to your function and comfort. A recommended plan of management will also be discussed, including specific exercises to perform and manual care options, footwear recommendations and more.
