After living overseas James is excited to return home to Vernon to continue his career as a
physiotherapist. James spent the past 4 years living in different parts of Australia and the
United Kingdom, seeing the world and gaining valuable experience working as a
physiotherapist. James grew up in Vernon, playing for both local minor hockey and lacrosse
teams. Through his sporting involvement he has experienced a number of his own
musculoskeletal injuries, which is where his interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation began.
He now uses his own past experiences to assist in creating personalised rehab and treatment
programs following an injury. He enjoys treating multiple areas and conditions including acute
or chronic sporting injuries, upper and lower limb conditions, as well as vertigo/vestibular
conditions.
James completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Alberta in 2016. He then
moved to Australia in 2018 to attain a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies from the University of
Queensland graduating in 2020. James enjoys using a variety of hands on and exercise-based
treatment techniques. When James isn’t at the clinic he likes to spend his time playing hockey,
golf or tennis, exploring new areas of B.C and testing out local eateries. As a new part of the
Progression team James is looking forward to getting to know more of the wonderful Vernon
community.
