Jamie received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2016 from Queen’s University. Prior to completing his physical therapy degree, he obtained a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology (2013) and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2009) at the University of Western Ontario. As a reflection of his education, Jamie employs a holistic approach to recovery and considers the priorities of the person in addition to the area of injury. His practice emphasizes the unique circumstances of each individual’s injury and considers recovery a collaborative approach.
Throughout his physical therapy career, Jamie has worked collaboratively with family and sports medicine physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, physiatrists, neurologists, audiologists and neuro-optometrists to optimize patient care and outcomes. He believes recovery and well-being is predicated on communication between all professionals involved in the individual’s care. Jamie excels in advanced and complex conditions and takes pride in solving problems that seem to be unsolvable. Although capable of treating many conditions, Jamie has a special interest in performance and athletics for individuals of all ages. Throughout your sessions with Jamie he will provide honest feedback, creative exercises and most importantly, accountability.
Jamie has a love of sport, music and the arts. Outside of his clinical hours he works with Gymnastics Canada to provide physiotherapy services for national level artistic gymnasts. Otherwise, Jamie enjoys his time playing soccer and spending time with his wife, Ashley, and Australian Shepherd, Kansas, at his family’s cottage in Northern Ontario.
