Janeen is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical
Counsellors (BCACC) and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and
Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and holds a master’s degree in counselling
psychology. Janeen is a caring and compassionate therapist who understands the importance of a
safe and supportive space for healing. She is deeply committed to creating an
environment where every individual feels valued and understood. Guided by principles
of anti-oppression, Janeen works to acknowledge and address the systemic barriers
that can impact mental health. She honours the unique identities and experiences of
each person, collaborating with clients to help them feel empowered and supported on
their path to healing and growth. Janeen brings a wealth of creativity,
empathy, and out-of-the-box thinking to her practice. Her lived experience provides her
with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent
individuals, as well as an appreciation for the strengths of neurodiversity. These
qualities enable her to foster meaningful connections with clients, especially those
navigating their own experiences with neurodiversity. Janeen’s ability to approach
situations from multiple perspectives helps her tailor therapy to the unique needs of
each client, creating an environment that celebrates differences and empowers
personal growth.
