Physiotherapist, IMS Practitioner (Functional Dry Needling)
Jayson completed his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with distinction from Simon Fraser University, he then chose to further his education by earning a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia.
Jayson’s treatment philosophy focuses on empowering individuals by improving their movement patterns and functional abilities utilizing a multi-modal treatment approach heavily based on manual therapy and corrective exercise prescription. He has experience working with individuals of all ages in a variety of clinical settings including: orthopaedics, post-surgical acute, neurological rehabilitation, hand therapy, geriatrics and sports medicine.
Prior to pursuing his master’s degree, Jayson worked as a kinesiologist, which allowed him to gain invaluable experience creating specialized exercise programs for individuals with a wide variety of conditions. Jayson has a special interest in sports-related injuries and has previously worked with the Simon Fraser University Rugby Club as an athletic therapist. Jayson is a continuous learner and is committed to utilizing only the most up to date research and clinical evidence in his practice. Jayson is currently certified in functional dry needling/intramuscular stimulation (IMS) by Kinetacore - Evidence in Motion
Outside of the clinic, Jayson enjoys playing soccer and golf, while also giving back to the local community by volunteering at local sporting events as well as charities such as Vancouver based, The Vanisha Foundation, a grassroots non-profit organization supporting the provision of medical services, equipment and treatment for children where medical funding may be limited or unavailable.

We specialize in custom-made, rigid plastic splints to assist in recovering from injuries of the hand & upper extremities, including repetitive strain and post-operative care. The type of splint is best determined after an assessment with your hand therapist as typically there's several options. The cost of the splint varies according to the type. We can only fabricate 1 splint (i.e. on the right OR left upper extremity) per single appointment time slot. We can schedule back to back appointments if you require splints for both hands.

These conditions may be the result of a number of factors, including trauma (such as a car accident, a blow to the jaw, or a fall on the chin) and overuse (such as persistent clenching of the jaw). Treatment includes extensive education regarding the diagnosis, symptoms and self-care strategies to help with recovery. The initial examination involves taking a thorough history as well as examination of the temporomandibular joints and neck. The majority of individuals with TMD also suffer from neck pain, hence the importance of the neck examination. Treatment involves a strong emphasis on education. Following the initial examination, the client is provided with an anatomy lesson of the involved muscles and joints, the mechanics of jaw movements, and advice on methods to reduce strain to the jaw and neck. Other components of treatment may include self-manual therapy, self-massage techniques, soft tissue stretching and active exercise prescription.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based therapy program used to treat problems associated with balance, vertigo and dizziness. Specifically, it works with the parts of the brain that process balance information. A vestibular assessment will involve filling out a questionnaire, discussing the history of your condition in detail, and a series of head positioning tests, vision tests and balance tests specific to your condition. Treatment may involve self-manual techniques along with balance, vision and coordination exercises. Please note that the assessment and treatment of vestibular problems may provoke some of your symptoms. For this reason it is recommended that you have someone with you in the room during your treatment.
