Jenefer Barnes is a dual-regulated Registered Nurse and Registered Acupuncturist with over 30 years of clinical experience in integrative healthcare. Her diverse background spans Trauma, ICU, end-of-life Hospice care, and global medical device leadership, giving her a rare and comprehensive perspective on patient care.
Jenefer seamlessly bridges Western biomedical nursing with evidence-informed Traditional Chinese Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. She delivers compassionate, ethical, and highly personalized care, combining strong clinical judgment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advanced therapeutic communication to support patients and families through even the most complex health journeys. Known for her ability to problem-solve mysterious or challenging conditions while simultaneously strengthening the body’s natural capacity for balance, homeostasis, and healing, Jenefer offers a truly holistic approach. She integrates clinical rigor and safety with whole-person healing, empowering patients to achieve optimal wellness.

She believes the most effective care bridges the best of Western biomedical medicine and evidence-informed Traditional Chinese Medicine. By combining clinical rigor, safety, and advanced assessment skills with the holistic principles of acupuncture and TCM, she helps patients address root causes rather than just symptoms.
She sees every patient as a unique individual, physically, emotionally, and energetically, and tailors each treatment plan with compassion, respect, and deep listening. Whether supporting someone through complex or mysterious health challenges, chronic pain, stress, trauma recovery, or end-of-life transitions, her goal is to restore balance, homeostasis, and the body’s innate ability to heal.
What she finds most rewarding is witnessing patients regain a sense of hope, vitality, and control over their health. There is nothing more fulfilling than watching someone move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to experiencing real improvement in their body and quality of life, often when other approaches have fallen short. Being able to walk alongside patients and families during some of their most vulnerable moments, using both her nursing and acupuncture expertise, is an incredible privilege.
