AjouterJenessa was raised in the Okanagan where she completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics at UBC Okanagan. She has extensive experience in clinical exercise as she worked as a kinesiologist for 3 years alongside physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and became a certified Pilates instructor and personal trainer.
During her time as a kinesiologist, Jenessa found herself in many situations where she was unable to advocate for her clients. As an empathetic and compassionate practitioner, this prompted Jenessa to pursue a career in physiotherapy. A love of travel took her to Scotland where she graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Robert Gordon University at the beginning of 2021.

After completing the physiotherapy program she moved back to the South Okanagan and has focused her career in private practice where she loves working with the variety of people that come into the clinic. Jenessa is a firm believer in the power of exercise, her rehab approach is exercise-based with the use of manual techniques as an adjunct.
Jenessa is excited to share her passion of exercise and movement with her patients.

This assessment will range from 45 min to an hour. The initial assessment will consist of a thorough history, biomechanical/movement analysis, goal setting, the creation of a comprehensive treatment plan as well as a first treatment.

Treatment will be 20-30 minutes and may include modalities such as soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, exercise prescription, education and IMS (intramuscular stimulation/dry needling).
