Hi, I'm Jen Caspari, a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia and Colorado. I specialize in delivering evidence-based psychotherapies to adults with acute and chronic health issues, including chronic pain, chronic fatigue, sleep difficulty/insomnia, health anxiety, cancer, body image issues, and other health concerns. I also provide evidence-based therapy for mood concerns such as anxiety and depression, stress, life transitions, adjustment concerns, self-esteem, and grief.
I am passionate about helping clients live full and meaningful lives. My therapy style is collaborative, warm, and direct. I aim to support clients in gaining awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and to translate that insight into helpful and personally worthwhile changes in their daily lives. I view my role as helping clients enhance their cognitive, emotional, and behavioural flexibility to improve their functioning, well-being, and overall quality of life.
I am also passionate about writing and training other mental health professionals. For example, I provided a national chronic pain course with PESI, a leader in continuing education for mental health professionals in the United States. I am the author of You Are More Than Your Body: 30+ Evidence-Based Strategies for Living Well with Chronic Illness – By a clinical therapist living with cerebral palsy, published by North Atlantic Books in June 2025, and I write a Psychology Today blog titled Living Well When Your Body Doesn't Cooperate.
Outside of work, I enjoy feeling the sun on my face, spending time with loved ones, moving my body while listening to audiobooks, watching cooking and baking shows, and eating delicious food.

Do you know your VO2max but are not sure exactly how to train it? This session will run you through a brief Zone 2 and Zone 5 workout - to make sure you know what these feel like and how to achieve them. While this isn’t the only way to train your aerobic capacity, it has been shown to be effective as a training regiment. Come ready to exercise on a bike or treadmill.
