60 minute follow up treatments are for patients who have already completed the Initial intake and are returning for weekly, or monthly touch ups.

Initial Acupuncture consult and treatment consists first with a lengthy conversation prompted by questions that lead me to the Root problem, the symptoms you experience are what we refer to as Branches, we will discuss your concerns, medical history and health goals . Intake will also include pulse taking, tongue diagnosis and general observation. After our conversation the diagnosis will be made along with a treatment plan for that day and the weeks to follow. I will then insert medical grade, very fine, single use needles into the points I have chosen along the body. The treatment will take place in a quiet and calm environment while you lay on a nice heated table. During the treatment you may expect to feel a deep sense of relaxation and may even fall asleep!

Common pain can be caused by lack of Qi and Blood Flow. By scraping the skin the practitioner is mimicking the body's action of sweating or venting heat, detoxifying or releasing an obstruction to allow free flow and thus resolving pain. Also applied to reduce onset of illnesses. If the patient is already sick they may become more sick for a day but will usually recover quite quickly. Great for preventing acute illnesses
