Jennifer supports adults who are feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, and disconnected from themselves, their relationships, and their communities. She collaborates with clients navigating anxiety, familial and relationship conflict, identity and cultural challenges, interpersonal dynamics, life transitions, and intergenerational concerns. Many of the individuals she works with come from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, including first- and second-generation communities.
With compassion and curiosity, Jennifer creates space to witness and explore clients’ inner experiences - sensations, thoughts, behaviours, and emotions - while supporting shifts in patterns that no longer feel aligned. Her approach to mental health is holistic, gently inviting clients to explore the many parts that make them whole.
Jennifer's therapeutic approach is grounded in cultural humility. She prioritizes understanding each client’s unique background, identity, and lived experience. Prior to practicing psychotherapy, she worked in non-profit, community, and healthcare settings for 5–6 years, where she witnessed the impact of systemic barriers on health and well-being, an experience that continues to inform her work today. At the core of her practice is curiosity, collaboration, and a deep respect for each client’s individual journey. She views therapy as a space for vulnerability, self-discovery, exploration, and reflection at a pace that feels right for the client.
Jennifer integrates a range of therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). These approaches support clients in exploring the origins of their identity and values, and how these show up in their nervous system, thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Through compassionate awareness, clients are supported in making space for who they were, who they are, and who they hope to become. She is also currently deepening her training in somatic therapy through ongoing education and clinical supervision.
She believes that therapy is a space where clients can feel supported and held as they explore, process, and reflect. The therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful progress, both within and beyond the therapy space. For those curious about working together, she welcomes connection through a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
