Jessica grew up on Salt Spring Island, BC, where her love for sports and the outdoors started.
Following many injuries in soccer herself, she quickly learned the value of physiotherapy and
the importance of safe return to sport.
After a few years at the University of Victoria in general sciences, Jessica completed her
Bachelor’s in Athletic and Exercise Therapy at Camosun College in Victoria. Throughout this
degree, she completed multiple field and clinical placements, gaining experience in a variety of
sports ranging from secondary school to varsity levels. Following this degree, she worked as an
Athletic Therapist at a neuro rehabilitation center where her interest in neuro rehabilitation
was fostered. This, as well as her love of education and furthering her knowledge in the field of
rehabilitation, lead her to pursue her Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta.
Jessica has since gained experience working as an Interim Physiotherapist at an occupational
rehabilitation center and is excited to incorporate her experiences into her clinical practice at
Start Line Health. Jessica hopes to pursue further education in neuro rehabilitation and sports
injury and is passionate about spreading education regarding concussion in sport and safe
return to play.
In her off time, you can find Jessica exploring Vancouver Island with her partner and their dog
Denise. She also loves her coffee, so if you frequent the coffee shops in the area there’s a
strong chance you’ll see her there as well!
