Jieun is a highly skilled therapist who graduated from the Registered Massage Therapy program at Vancouver Career College. Her extensive training has given her a deep appreciation and understanding of the intricate anatomy of the human body. Throughout her studies in physiotherapy and massage therapy, she actively participated in cadaver labs, further enhancing her knowledge and expertise.
With her previous experience as a physiotherapist in Korea, Jieun has successfully treated athletes with exercise-related injuries from various sports such as volleyball and soccer. She has also helped individuals dealing with overuse injuries caused by work and daily life activities. Her comprehensive approach to therapy involves blending a diverse range of modalities and techniques tailored to each patient's specific needs. These techniques include thorough assessments, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and muscle energy technique.
Currently, Jieun is in her final semester of an acupuncture program. This additional training in acupuncture will enable her to combine massage therapy with needling techniques, providing patients with more efficient and faster recovery. By incorporating acupuncture into her practice, she aims to offer a holistic approach to treatment, addressing both the physical and energetic aspects of healing.
Looking ahead, Jieun plans to further expand her skill set by incorporating Yoga, Pilates, and core strength training into her practice. By integrating these practices, she will empower her patients to maintain and enhance their overall well-being, beyond the sessions they have with her.
Jieun's dedication to ongoing education and her diverse range of techniques make her a versatile and compassionate therapist. She is committed to providing the highest quality care to her patients, helping them recover from injuries, alleviate pain, and achieve optimal health and wellness.
