Over seeing rehabilitation needs from hospital discharge and home assessment to promoting independence with activities of daily living, our Occupational Therapists take an active approach to rehabilitation.

Assessment of the one's needs in the home setting can include safety assessments and recommendations, equipment assessments, home support assessments, personal care assessments, wheelchair assessment, and home based rehabilitation assessments. Once the assessment is complete, our Occupational Therapists will provide recommendations and can assist in the implementation of any services required. Home based treatment by our Occupational Therapists is aimed at restoring the client’s ability to perform their activities of daily living (ADL) safely and independently. Session length and frequency varies depending on needs. Session price starts at $250 including up to 1 hour 1:1 time with the Occupational Therapist. The BC Rebate for Accessible Home Adaptations (BC RAHA) is a rebate program. Eligible low- and moderate-income households can receive up to $20,000 in rebates to complete home adaptations. The program allows seniors and people with permanent disabilities or diminished ability to gain greater independence within their homes. To be eligible, you must be a resident of BC with limited income and assets. You or someone in your household must have a permanent disability or loss of ability. The adaptations requested must support accessibility and promote continued safe and independent living in your home. You are responsible for confirming your eligibility. Our OT will come to your home, assess, make recommendations and fill out he necessary form for you to submit for funding consideration.
