John graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology and Psychology in 2000. During his time at UNBSJ, John served as President of both the Student Union and Health Sciences Society, and was awarded UNB’s Leadership Award. He then graduated in 2006 from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, and earned Dalhousie’s Excellence in Leadership award, and was appointed class Valedictorian.
Since graduating from Dalhousie, he has been busy practicing in various private practices, and has completed numerous post-graduate courses in Active Release Technique (A.R.T.), Graston Technique, Advanced low back pain management, advanced manual therapy methods, Mckenzie method, taping techniques, and performance exercise prescription. John also has training in acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. From his experience working at the Moncton Hospital for four years (2006-2010), John has treated numerous post-surgical, orthopaedic, neuro rehabilitation, and geriatric patients. John is experienced with post-operative protocols and rehabilitation programs.
John is also experienced in post motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, work-related injury physiotherapy, and sports injury management. John has spent extensive time working closely as Team Physiotherapist over 14 years with over twenty-five sports teams in Moncton, and has provided sport physiotherapy coverage at the provincial, national and international levels at events like the World Junior Track & Field meets, National Speed Skating competitions, and the Canada Games. John is the previous Lead Team Physiotherapist for the Moncton Magic, Moncton Mustangs, and Harrison Trimble Trojans Football Team.
John has served as a board member of the New Brunswick Physiotherapy Association, and as Co-Chair of the New Brunswick Orthopaedic Association for Physiotherapy. In 2010, he was awarded New Brunswick’s Young Leadership Award for his efforts in the community, and educational advancement in the field of Physiotherapy.
John has numerous interests but most know that he is a diehard golfer, avid crossfitter, loves photographer, and is a wild man at karaoke!

The Physiotherapy Assessment involves a 1-hour one-on-one history and biomechanical evaluation with a Physiotherapist on our Rehab1 Team. This allows us the time to a develop a clear picture of your current condition and help us provide you with the proper physiotherapy treatment plan.
Select this ONLY after you have been assessed by one of our Rehab1 Physiotherapists for the current injury AND will be returning for treatment with that specific Physiotherapist. If you are a previous patient but have not been in our clinic IN OVER 6 MONTHS, a "Physiotherapy Initial Assessment" must be selected.
ONLY select this option if you have already been assessed by a Rehab1 Physiotherapist for the current injury. * This session includes Shockwave therapy in addition to exercises prescription, manual therapy, and other modalities as deemed appropriate by your Physiotherapist.

We are now offering physiotherapy treatment sessions that will be conducted virtually for our clients that are unable to make it into the clinic for any particular reason. Please note that our virtual sessions are done with the help of our Jane online software - you will not be required to download anything. We have made this quite easy for you and hope you enjoy your treatment session!

Our TPI Golf Certified Physiotherapists will assess the biomechanics of your golf swing and identify what physical aspects may be affecting your game. Faulty and limited movement patterns can greatly affect your golf swing, decrease your distance, and also cause pain. They will create an exercise & stretching program customized to you. Then your information will be shared with our Golf Professional, Gerard Aliling, who will conduct a Full swing assessment and develop a swing program to correct the issues and optimize your golf swing.

This appointment should be booked if you are having issues related to balance, dizziness, or other vestibular related conditions.
