**Jon Bell**
*Registered Physiotherapist, MScPT BSc(Kin), Kineticore FDN (IMS) Certified*
Jon completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology before graduating from UBC’s Master of Physical Therapy program in 2012.
His approach is grounded in evidence-based, active rehabilitation, centred on movement and exercise. He focuses on helping people understand what is driving their symptoms and avoid dependence on passive treatment. The goal is a clear, practical process that builds confidence in movement and recovery.
Jon has a special interest in sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, ACL recovery, running-related injuries, and persistent pain. His background in sports, CrossFit, and strength training continues to shape how he thinks about performance, resilience, and long-term physical health.
Alongside private practice, Jon has worked in rugby at club, university, provincial, and national levels, and has served as a Clinical Educator for the UBC Physical Therapy program, mentoring future physiotherapists and staying connected to current evidence and evolving practice. His continuing education has included manual therapy, Functional Dry Needling (IMS), running injury management, functional movement assessment, ACL rehabilitation, and pain science.
Outside the clinic, Jon spends much of his time training in his garage gym or exploring the mountains, trails, lakes, and rivers of Vancouver Island through skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and fly fishing.
Jon was named Best Physiotherapist by Reader's Choice in 2021 and has been a finalist three additional times.
