This session designed for the pregnant woman's body providing cushions and bolsters to ensure comfort the whole way through. This massage is very soothing and gentle, designed to stimulate the release of toxins from the cells, and circulation to the subcutaneous tissues. The hands on portion is approx 1 hour. First we identify your dosha; Vata, Pita, or Kapha which determines the speed of my strokes for massage. Next the base oil is scented with therapeutic oils to balance your dosha. Massage is started sitting while wrapped in a towel; your shoulders, face and head are massaged including ears. Then you lie down and massage continues to cover the entire body. Abhyanga is completed without clothes on. Wear clothes that can be washed once home, including underwear.
