Joshua Carter is a kind and attentive human, and a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. He graduated from Grant MacEwan's Massage Therapy Diploma Program in 2007 and has been practising at Healing Connections since 2008. Over the last 17 years he has learned to deliver an integrated approach to his work, utilizing techniques from therapeutic massage, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage and energy work.

In 2013, he began a transformational journey by studying ceremonial healing in the Algonquin tradition of The 8th Fire Inc. Although it was his desire to bring new tools to his clients, the process began as one of profound self-healing. Joshua has worked with healing his past traumas, limited beliefs and such personal issues as depression and anxiety. He is grateful for these teachings and this opportunity to share this work with his clients.

Apprentice treatments offer clients an accessible way to receive therapeutic care while supporting the next generation of massage therapists in their hands-on clinical training. These treatments are offered at a reduced rate as they are performed by students working under professional supervision and are not eligible for insurance reimbursement. During your session, the student’s supervisor may observe or be present for a portion of the treatment to support learning, ensure client safety, and monitor competency of techniques.

This specialized treatment is designed to release facial and jaw tension, support lymphatic drainage, improve circulation, and promote a naturally sculpted, radiant appearance.
Fertility massage is a blend of massage, uterine & organ positioning, reflexology, shiatsu and working with meridians to assist with conception and is a treatment that both partners can have done. It also reviews and addresses other concerns that could be creating blocks for a successful pregnancy with complimentary therapies suggested. The session will consist of approximately 30-45 mins of intake followed by 45-60 mins of massage.
Manual osteopathy is a hands on therapy that focuses on the body as a whole. Addressing the root cause of pain, imbalance, injury, or illness is key in osteopathy and therefor a thorough assessment and treatment will be preformed. A variety of techniques may be used such as osteoarticular techniques, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, myofascial remodeling, and lymphatic drainage.
