Craniosacral osteopathic treatment is a gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on supporting the natural movement and balance of the body—particularly around the head (cranium), spine, nervous system and sacrum. Using light, precise touch, your osteopath works to release areas of restriction and tension that may be affecting how your body functions and adapts to everyday stress, injury or posture. This treatment looks at the whole body, not just where symptoms are felt. The aim is to support the nervous system, improve mobility of surrounding tissues, and encourage your body’s own self-regulating and healing processes. The techniques used during your session will depend entirely on the practitioner’s clinical assessment and what is most appropriate for you on the day of your appointment. Craniosacral osteopathic treatment can help with: Headaches and migraines Jaw and facial tension Neck and upper back pain Shoulder tension Stress and nervous system overload Fatigue and burnout Poor sleep or difficulty relaxing Postural strain Sinus pressure and congestion Dizziness or light-headedness Ongoing pain following injury or surgery General body tension and restricted movement Because every person presents differently, your osteopath will assess your head, spine, pelvis and overall body mechanics to determine the most suitable craniosacral approach for your individual needs.

TMJ osteopathic treatment focuses on restoring healthy movement and balance to the jaw (temporomandibular joint), the surrounding muscles, and related structures of the head, neck, and upper body. Because every TMJ issue is different, your osteopath will assess your jaw, head, neck and posture to determine whether intra-oral (inside the mouth), extra-oral (outside the mouth) or a combination of both techniques is most suitable for your treatment. The exact approach used will depend on the practitioner’s assessment and what is clinically appropriate for you on the day of your appointment. This gentle, hands-on treatment looks at how the jaw works together with the neck, spine, posture and nervous system, helping to reduce strain and improve overall function. TMJ osteopathic treatment can help with: Jaw grinding (bruxism) Jaw clicking or popping Jaw locking or catching Pain while chewing or opening the mouth Limited mouth opening Jaw and facial muscle tension Headaches and tension headaches Neck and upper shoulder pain Ear discomfort, pressure or a “blocked” feeling Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) Facial pain Postural strain affecting the jaw and neck

It happens when tiny calcium crystals (called otoconia) inside the inner ear become dislodged and move into the semicircular canals. These canals help your brain understand head movement. When the crystals are in the wrong place, they send incorrect signals to the brain, which creates a brief sensation of spinning, especially when you change the position of your head (for example, when lying down, turning in bed, or looking up). BPPV is not dangerous, but it can be very uncomfortable and unsettling. The treatment consists of a series of gentle, guided head and body movements known as repositioning maneuvers. The goal is to move the displaced crystals out of the semicircular canals and back to their normal location, where they no longer cause symptoms. During the procedure, the practitioner will carefully guide you through specific positions while you are lying down or sitting. You may briefly feel dizziness during the maneuver, which is normal and usually lasts only a few seconds. These techniques are safe, non-invasive, and often provide quick relief, sometimes in just one or a few sessions.
