Junko graduated from Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy in Toronto. Previously, she had graduated from Kokushikan University in Tokyo, Japan with a degree in Physical Education.
Junko has competed at the National Level in the Japanese martial art known as Kendo. From that experience, she gained knowledge about injury and pain management as well as prevention and self-care. Her combined experiences as a Physical Education teacher and personal fitness trainer have allowed her to approach massage therapy in a holistic manner.
Junko was motivated to became a massage therapist when she realized she could help treat her mother’s severe scoliosis. Junko has now dedicated her career to helping clients by using massage therapy to identify root causes of pain and discomfort, alleviate or manage the pain and provide guidance to proactively prevent further problems.
Junko, along with her husband, are kept busy taking care of twins but she manages to find the time to teach and practice Kendo. Additionally, she practices Tai Chi and Yoga regularly to maintain calmness, positive energy and balance.
